What do y'all think about spiritual gifts?
21 September 2005 @ 04:26 pm

Hey! hope you all had a awesome day!

"Ye are the light of the world. A city taht is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Matthew 5:14-16

One of my friends' in my science class got saved!!!!!!!!!!

My chemistry teacher was telling us that she could prove scientifically that evolution is false. I think that's pretty cool that a science teacher would even want to do that. The first little bit of evidence she gave us was the law of conservation of energy and matter which says that you can't create or destroy energy or matter, you can only transfer them. Therefore, the big bang theory has been blown to bits (yes, I just made that very un-funny joke) because in no way can a ball of mass just explode and create the universe. Case closed.

South Park is now on WSBK and I am happy beyond words. Is that bad? haha.

Later peeps!

What are some Scriptures that mean alot to you?

Here's some from me:

"Some Trust in Chariots and some trust in horses, but we will trust in the name of our God."
Psalm 20:7

"and Moses said, 'Show me Your Glory'"
Exodus 33:18

" Proclaim this among the nations:
Consecrate for war;
stir up the mighty men.
Let all the men of war draw near;
let them come up.
Beat your plowshares into swords,
and your pruning hooks into spears;
let the weak say, "I am a warrior."

Hasten and come,
all you surrounding nations,
and gather yourselves there.
Bring down your warriors, O LORD.
Let the nations stir themselves up
and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
for there I will sit to judge
all the surrounding nations.

Put in the sickle,
for the harvest is ripe.
Go in, tread,
for the winepress is full.
The vats overflow,
for their evil is great.

Multitudes, multitudes,
in the valley of decision!
For the day of the LORD is near
in the valley of decision.
The sun and the moon are darkened,
and the stars withdraw their shining.

The LORD roars from Zion,
and utters his voice from Jerusalem,
and the heavens and the earth quake.
But the LORD is a refuge to his people,
a stronghold to the people of Israel."

Joel 3:9-16

"But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."

Amos 5:24

"But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall."

Malachi 4:2

Those are just a few. Maybe I'll post more later. :).

  • Hey!
    How was your day?! Hopefully awesome! I went to church and it was amazing!
    I don't know what exactly happen but my youth director starting praying and we all fell to my knees and you knew without a doubt in your mind that you could feel the presence of the Lord. It was truly amazing what happen there tonight. There is no way that I could but it was a Blessing.
    "Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength they will soar on the wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
    I read this in one of my daily devotion books...I really liked it.
    " If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? "   --David Otis Fuller.
    You are the light of the world. Matthew 5:14

God bless!         Blessed be His name!                         Always Rachel

David, I was going to reply to your reply to my comment, but I can't find what post it's under, haha. So, I'll do it hear. I can't think of specific examples right off hand, but I do remember reading over either Romans or Ephesians with Brandon Perkins, and his Bible, which was not King James, added some commas which ended up changing the meaning of what was being said. Actually, during the Perkins's Bible Study days, there were many many verses in the other people's bibles that were different in wording than the King James I was using.

But I wasn't telling you not to read the version you are, lol. Nor was I saying that every word is different. I was just saying I only like King James because of the little changes that are in them.

Speaking of Bibles, I need to get a new one. Anyone know how I can go about getting my name put on it? I've seen several people with their names on their Bibles and I just kinda like that.

How are you?! Hopefully well!
This week has been Crazy to say the least! Monday & Tuesday we had off and Wednesday felt like Monday. Made me really confused. I got shocked by an electric fence lol! Went to the football game!!
I know that no matter how chaotic something is God is always with us!!!
This song seem to sing out to me today. I wanted to share it with you!
In Me -*-Casting Crowns-*-
I'll go but I cannot go alone
cause I know I'm nothing on my own
But the power of Christ in me makes me strong.
Makes me strong
Cause when I'm weak, you make me strong
when I'm blind you shine your light on me
Through I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.
- Micah 7:8-
For Christ's sake I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecution, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
*2 Corinthians 12:10*
((New International Version.))
Well, Love you!

Alright y'all...I'm so tired of this "let's not make it an I'm right, you're wrong" business. Even if we put that there is always an argument. It's just the way the words are typed. I hope everyone will carefully consider the words they type (as well as myself). It's really getting out of control how we seem to be at each other's throats. It might just be the way I'm reading the comments and entries but that is why we need to think before we speak and type. I was looking in 2 Timothy and found this:

2 Timothy 2:24-25a
"And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle in all, able to teach, patient, 25a in humility correcting those who are in opposition."

If anyone wants to hear what other people think, please have an open mind about it and gently tell your beliefs. Don't put unnecessary pressure on the person who is commenting to you.

God bless you!
